Hunters Full Moon

The Hunter’s Moon. Also called the Blood Moon, because of the orange-red glow it has due to the elevation of rise in the late autumn atmosphere. Harvest moon falls the first full moon closest to the fall equinox and hunters moon is the next full moon after, usually falling in October, and rarely in November. Most of the full moon’s names are from Native American Myths and lore. Hunters moon was named as it signified a time of easy hunting, even deep into the night to prepare for the long winter ahead.

It’s the moon right in the midst of summer and winter. A thin veil makes a great time to commune with spirits.

The Full Moon is best used for banishing unwanted influences in your life. You can use this time for releasing old patterns or issues, and open the door for healing by giving energy to positive patterns you’ll put in place. Full Moon magic can be conjured during the 3 days prior to the rise of the Full Moon, the night of the Full Moon and during the 3 days after.

The side of the moon that faces the earth is completely visible all night. From Earth, the sun and moon appear to be at opposite ends of the sky.  As the sun sets, the moon rises.

The event is finished.
